Meet the Founder
Even as a young girl, I knew there was something significant about growing up.
I felt the quiet shift between wanting more independence while still holding tightly to the wonder and safety of childhood.
What I didn't understand was why something so meaningful was surrounded by so much awkwardness, secrecy, and shame.
Years later—as a mother, educator, and herbalist—I found myself returning to those same questions.
What if puberty was not something to fear, fix, or rush through?
What if girls were supported in staying connected to themselves through every phase of change?
I believe growing up is not about leaving childhood behind. It is a season of growth, discovery, and learning how to stay connected to yourself through change.
PUBERTEA began from a place many caregivers know well—the realization that even when you think you are prepared, watching a child grow can bring up emotions you didn't expect.
As my own daughter approached this season of life, I found myself searching for a way to support her without overwhelming her. I wanted to answer her questions, honor her independence, and stay connected while also giving her space to find her own voice.
What I discovered is that girls don't need one perfect conversation.
They need moments.
Small invitations.
Trusted support.
A circle of people reminding them they already belong.
For me, that invitation has always been tea.
My love of plants, nature, and human development eventually came together in PUBERTEA—a collection of herbal tea blends and resources created to help girls and their caregivers navigate puberty with curiosity, connection, and care.
Before becoming a mother, I was a middle school science teacher, where I discovered my love for taking topics that felt intimidating or uncomfortable and turning them into conversations filled with curiosity and understanding.
I continued studying human growth and development, education, yoga, and traditional herbalism, including training inspired by the Wise Woman tradition and the teachings of Rosemary Gladstar.
PUBERTEA is my blend of all of these pieces:
A little science.
A little plant wisdom.
A little motherhood.
A little remembering that nature has always been one of our greatest teachers.
My hope is simple:
That every girl has a place to return when the world gets loud.
A place where she remembers she is already whole.
